How to get to Ostia by car

From G.R.A. (Grande Raccordo Anulare): take exit 28 and then continue on Via del Mare (closed to buses and motorcycles) or on Via Ostiense up to Ostia Antica.

From Cristoforo Colombo: take the Cristoforo Colombo towards Ostia, staying in the right lane and then exit at the pine forest of Castel Fusano following the signs for “Scavi di Osta Antica” (Viale della Villa di Plinio). Cross the small bridge over the Canale dei Pescatori and then continue straight on along Via di Castel Fusano up to the large traffic light of Ostia Antica, where the Via del Mare crosses. Continuing straight past the intersection you will arrive at the village of Ostia Antica.

From Fiumicino Airport: take Via Alessandro Guidoni and then, upon reaching Piazzale Nobile, follow Viale dell’A Aeroporto di Fiumicino until you cross Via del Mare. Finally, follow the directions for Ostia Antica.

How to get to Ostia by public transport from Rome

From Porta San Paolo station (Piramide): take the train of the Roma-Lido railway towards Cristoforo Colombo. Get off at the Ostia Antica stop and then reach the village using the blue pedestrian overpass (about 5 minutes on foot). Cost of the metrebus ticket: 1.50 EUR.

From Termini Station: take Line B to Porta San Paolo (Piramide) and from there take the Roma-Lido railway following the aforementioned indications. Cost of the metrebus ticket: 1.50 EUR.
