DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR
Located about 30 km from the center of Rome and only 5 km from the Leonardo da Vinci international Airport, the harbors built by the emperors Claudius and Trajan between the 1st and 2nd cent. A.D. are the very place were the ancient Roman ships, loaded with goods, arrived from all over the Mediterranean. A naturalistic and archaeological oasis were you will admire the magnificent ancient port structures such as warehouses and docks. A real microcosm from a naturalistic point of view thanks to the presence of humid areas, rich in vegetation. During the itinerary, anecdotes and information on the trade and eating habits of the ancient Romans will be provided.
